Harsch Investment, under the guidance of second generation steward and deal maker, Jordan Schnitzer, has grown to become one of the West’s largest privately held commercial real estate investment and development companies, with over $2.5 billion in assets.
Todd and Cascade Commercial have a long and successful history in representing and assisting Harsch with multiple acquisitions and developments going back more than 20 years, with the acquisition of a 20 acre site from Waste Management, famously known as the Stockyards site, and the lease up of the 500,000 sf of premier industrial park that was smartly developed on the site.
Subsequent other successful assignments have included representation of the acquisition of three city blocks in the burgeoning and red-hot development market of the close-in eastside, and redevelopment of existing buildings and lease-up to well-known Portland companies Steve Smith Tea and House Spirits.
One site in this multi-block purchase was a parking lot that now is being transformed into a cutting edge creative office project of 70,000 sf on top of a three story parking garage. This redevelopment play has been recently augmented with Cascade Commercial assisting in a “bolt on” acquisition of a 75,000 sf and $8 million cool, older industrial building next door that is ripe and primed for creative office redevelopment and will be great compliment to the new development next door.
